Are You Living the Life You Choose or Just the One That Comes Your Way?
Life Coach
II've lived on the Outer Banks since I was 21 and fresh out of UNC-CH. I thought I'd go back to clinical psych grad school (that would have been a mistake -- too tight), but instead fall came and I decided starting Outer Banks Hotline was more to my liking. I stayed to do that, and to teach swimming and lifesaving and maybe there was a guy involved in there somewhere too who made me not want to leave. So I stayed, married the guy, started businesses and a family. Along the way, as life has a way of doing, a big business was sold, three children were born and one was lost, another business was started, two children grew up . . . and in the midst of it all, I became a certified co-active life coach, which I have now done for 20+ years and with hundreds of clients (in between my job as publisher at Outer Banks This Week and other similar sites across the country).
Coaching is my heart work. Through working with clients to help design their lives, my own life has been immeasurably enriched. I sincerely believe in the power of each human soul – to be creative, to get out from under whatever is heavy, to see the link to a vibration in them and around them and to make very conscious choices about their lives. It's these day-to-day minute choices that create our lives, not only the big life-changing ones.

With all the interest in tiny homes, sparking joy, & minimalism, there's a lot of information coming at us about why a simple life is happier. But how do you take the first step? What are some ways to make good decisions about the things that seem to always be there - paperwork? clothes? memorabilia?
Join Adriel as she addresses How To Declutter with some easy ways to train your brain to make decisions, tools to help let things go, and general systems to put in place at work or at home to make life a little less stressful.
